Carl Feren, MBA
President
Carl is the current Chief Operating Officer for a non-profit behavioral health organization in NYC. Carl is a results-driven executive business management professional with more than 20 years’ experience in evaluating non-profit business operations.
Mercedes Commodore
Secretary
Mercedes Commodore retired from the MTA after a 31 year career. She started her career as a Train Conductor for the MTA's LIRR and retired in 2008 after serving fifteen years as the Railroad's Executive Director of Diversity Management.
Carolann Johns
Executive Director
Strategic senior executive with expertise in nonprofit operations, development,
fundraising and revenue generation. Skilled in board relations and recruitment as
well as teambuilding, service delivery, and strategy implementation.
Mario Chery
Mario Chery is the founder and owner of FreckleTech Productions, a live event production company built on 30 years of technical and creative leadership. A former Senior Vice President of Client and Production Engineering at Goldman Sachs and Senior Vice President of Global Production and Infrastructure at BNY Mellon, he has driven innovation across Fortune 500 organizations and entrepreneurial ventures. Mario brings deep expertise in production, technology, and strategic operations to his role, along with a commitment to using his skills to support meaningful community impact.
Olayemi Tolulope Dada, CPA, ACCA, ACA
Olayemi Tolulope Dada is an audit and assurance professional with over nine years of international experience spanning the United States, Hungary, and Nigeria. He previously worked at KPMG, where he provided audit services to clients across asset management, banking, and consumer sectors, with a focus on financial reporting, internal controls, and regulatory compliance.
A triple-qualified accountant and CFA Level III candidate, Olayemi brings strong expertise in governance, accountability, and financial oversight. He has served on the board of the ELA Initiative, where he provided financial and strategic guidance to support access to justice for underserved individuals. Through this role, he contributed to strengthening organizational oversight and advancing mission-driven impact.
Olayemi is passionate about community service and is committed to leveraging his professional experience to support nonprofit organizations, enhance governance practices, and drive meaningful outcomes.

Kunal Prakash
Kunal Prakash, a seasoned finance executive with 18 years' expertise in Equities, Credit, and Fixed Income, holds an Electronics Engineering degree and a Masters from Harvard. Proficient in evaluating companies and adept in multi-billion dollar capital raisings, Kunal maintains strong connections with executives and portfolio managers. His cross-functional skills include risk, compliance, and leveraging technology for market-leading results. With a strong desire to impact social communities, he actively seeks to leverage his financial expertise for positive change.
Fatima Y. Robinson
Fatima Y. Robinson has 22+ years of experience in Child Welfare with the NYC Administration for Children's Services (ACS). Fatima serves as the Executive Director of the Office of Shared Response (OSR) within the Division of Family Permanency. OSR is responsible for assessing and responding to critical incidents, fatalities, and high-profile and media cases involving children and youth in foster care. Fatima is affiliated with several not-for-profit and community organizations that provide services and support to men, women, and children. Fatima's superb leadership experience exemplifies her commitment and willingness to give her all for the people she leads and for the cause she is working on. Fatima has a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Iona College and a Master of Arts in Criminal Justice from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. She is married to Dennis Robinson, a retired NYC Police Sergeant and the mother of two children, LaQuan (A Seaman in the United States Navy) and Deniya (a college student majoring in Biology at Clark Atlanta University).
Sandra Thomas, LCSW
Sandra Thomas is a retired School Social Worker and community activist. She is one of the founding members of Resurrection House and a former Chairman of its Board of Directors.
